1 year after the accident, the expatriate French thanks the
rescue party (07/05/09):
1 year after being hospitalized following a boating
accident, Guy Le Lostec returned to Satoon to thank the hospital and
the people who helped him in an accident that could have cost him his
life. It is with emotion that the team of the Tourism Authority of
Thailand attended the ceremony held for that purpose.
Mr Le Lostec will remember forever that day when he could have
lost his life. "Fell in love" with Thailand during a business trip to
the "country of smiles," Mr Le Lostec is now settled with his companion
on the island of Langkawi, located in Malaysia near the Thai
border. Keen on sailing, he offers cruise ships in the turquoise waters
of the Andaman Sea.
On this day of June 2008, alone aboard his boat near the island of Ko
Lipeh, Mr Le Lostec is facing a storm and violent waves that stir in
the waters of the Andaman Sea. After being thrown to the ground by the
anchor boot, Mr Le Lostec, inanimate would not have survived without
the rapid relief and effectiveness of care practiced in the hospital of
Satun, which faced his first emergency since its renovation.
The French navigator thanked all those who participated in the rescue.
The ceremony was then concluded with a convivial meal.
